• Get FREE Wood Chips from SMUD are provided to residential customers to spread as mulch around trees and shrubs, making soil more fertile, and helping trees to keep growing during the summer heat. Not available for commercial use.

Plastic Bag Recycling

• Find drop off locations for plastic bags. Though not accepted in the County's curbside recycling program, many grocery stores and box stores accept them for recycling. Used plastic bags are made into fibers for clothing, plastic lumber, and even car parts!

Household Hazardous Waste

• Find drop off locations for household hazardous waste to properly recycle or dispose of used motor oil, antifreeze, pool chemicals, paints, batteries, etc.
