Contracts between a hauler and commercial property spell out the terms of service and how to resolve disputes. For billing and service issues, contact your hauler first.
Cancelling existing commercial solid waste services
To request to terminate service(s) with your existing commercial hauler:
- Review your service agreement/contract to confirm the terms of your agreement, including your contract expiration date and fees. Contact your current commercial hauler at the email listed below to request a copy of your service agreement. Your hauler is required to provide a copy of your service agreement within 5 business days of your request.
- Send a written request to terminate services at least 30 days in advance of your contract termination date to your hauler. Written requests may be sent via email or mail. Each hauler's contact information for termination requests is listed below.
Service Disputes
If you have made a good faith effort to settle a dispute with your hauler but the issue remains unresolved, please fill out the Request for Commercial Waste Account Assistance form and email it to Sacramento County's Commercial Waste Compliance team for assistance at CommercialWaste@saccounty.gov. We strongly urge that you have written documentation, preferably email, between you and your hauler regarding the dispute before contacting the County.
Please include the following information in your email or the form:
- Your business/commercial property name
- The service address for the property
- Your commercial solid waste account number
- The contact method used (phone, email, mail)
- A summary of the service dispute issue(s)
- Any documentation of the ongoing dispute
Filling out the form helps expedite the resolution process.
