In the unincorporated area of Sacramento County, commercial recycling, organics, garbage, and mixed construction and demolition waste (C&D) services can only be provided by a franchised waste hauler, as mandated by Sacramento County Code Chapter 6.20.

These haulers provide regular, ongoing collection services, which include garbage, recycling, and organics. The smallest container sizes available are 90-gallon carts for garbage, 90-gallon carts for recycling, and 30-gallon carts for organics.
