Payment Type: Cash, Check, Money Order, or Debit/Credit Card

  • 2.29% Convenience Fee for Credit Cards ($1.95 min.). 
  • $1.95 Convenience Fee for Debit Card with PIN.
  • Debit/Credit Card will be credited to your account within 3-5 business days. 

Note:  Any form of payment paid to Revenue Recovery and dishonored for any reason will be assessed a $53.00 dishonored payment fee.

  • Do not send cash - DRR is not responsible for the loss of any cash payments.

  • Use checks or money orders for mail-in payments.

  • Include the return portion from your statement.  If you do not have the return portion of the statement, write your account number on the check or money order.  Your social security number can be substituted for the account number.

  • Include your phone number on the payment stub so that DRR can contact you if there is a problem with the account/social security number, or payment.

 Note:  Any form of payment paid to DRR and dishonored for any reason will be assessed a $53.00 dishonored payment fee.

Payment Type: Credit Card or E-check

Payments can be made by phone through an automated system provided by PaymentExpress, a private organization, and charges a convenience fee to process all electronic check and credit card payments.  The convenience fees listed below are subject to change; however, you will be notified of the fee amount before approving the payment transaction.  PaymentExpress is not a Sacramento County agency, therefore any transaction disputes or questions must be resolved through PaymentExpress.

  • Press 2 for Spanish, do nothing to proceed in English
  • Enter the account number via key press or speech
  • If the IVR recognizes the phone number from a previous payment, the IVR will automatically present the account number that was previously paid. Caller will confirm that account or enter a new account number.
  • If you do not know your account number, contact Revenue Recovery at (916) 875-7589.
  • Caller provides contact phone number
  • Caller hears the payment options for Card and E-check. Convenience fee is $2.50 for credit and debit cards or $0.95 for e-check.
  • Enter payment information:
  • Credit Card Entry
    • Choose card type – Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express
    • Enter card number
    • Enter four digit expiration date (MMYY)
    • Enter 3 or 4 digit card security code​
  • E-check Entry
    • Choose account type – Checking or Savings
    • Enter 9 digit routing number
    • Enter account number, can be up to 16 digits long
    • Confirm the total amount to be paid, include the convenience fee.
  • If a problem is encountered, caller can say “Agent" to speak to customer service

Credit and ATM/Debit Cards:

  • You will need credit card information.
  • $2.50 convenience fee is charged at the time payment is processed.
  • PaymentExpress provides a confirmation number once the electronic payment is completed.

For E-Check payments:

  • You will need bank routing and account numbers.
  • A $0.95 convenience fee is charged at the time the payment is processed.
  • PaymentExpress provides a confirmation number once the electronic payment is completed.

NOTE:  Any form of payment paid to Revenue Recovery and dishonored for any reason will be assessed a $53.00 dishonored payment fee.

Important Notice:​

To keep your account current, the full payment due must be posted to the account by the due date on the billing statement.

  • There is no grace period.
  • Make payment at least 5-7 days before the due date to allow enough time for processing.
  • Debit card, credit card, or electronic check payments (including Google Pay & Apple Pay) may take 3-5 business days to post.
  • Revenue Recovery accepts payments from third-parties.  For example, a friend or relative may bring in, mail, or use their credit card to make a payment on your account. They will need your Revenue Recovery (DRR) account number.
