Sacramento County residents now have more options for recycling old paint. PaintCare offers convenient paint recycling drop-off service at numerous paint retailers throughout Sacramento County and around the State. Visit the PaintCare website for more information and to find a take-back location.
Drop-Off Centers
If you are a resident of the unincorporated area of Sacramento County or the Cities of Citrus Heights, Elk Grove, Folsom, Rancho Cordova, or Sacramento you may also dispose of household paint at regional Household Hazardous Waste Drop-off facilities.
Oil-based and latex paint and small empty aerosol paint cans are accepted at the Kiefer ABOP & Special Waste Facility and the North Area Recovery Station (NARS) Hazardous Household Waste (HHW).
